Wouldn't you love these?

These are some of the rescued puppies and kittens that are available for adoption right now.  There are a few mothers dogs and cats here, they are also available for adoption.
They have all come from awful situations .
They are all vaccinated and spayed or neutered.
All they want is love!
We can arrange transport to the U.S. and Canada....and they are all bi-lingual...Spanish and English!

Sick and rescued animals in Guaqtemala

Hi everyone,
You guys are the best!  Thank you so much for your help.  We appreciate it so much.
We have had several really sick animals this week that have been brought into us and we have sent them for treatment.
Not to mention that we have 12 puppies here that need homes.
Also a mother cat was brought in, so malnourished, she had been unable to feed her four kittens.  Two of them were too weak to lift their heads, they are with Miguel, the other two we have here at the house with the mother. They seem like they will recover well, now we just need to wait a few weeks and find homes for them.
We also have a mother dog at the Marti who was brought in with her four puppies....some of our staff found her on a home visit, very emaciated, some of the puppies had died already . We had to pay the owner $7 to take her and the puppies, one of the kids at the house had already put one of the puppies in a bucket of water to "bathe" it and see if it could swim...at 2 weeks old....it survived but it is lucky that we were there just after it happened to take the puppy and warm it up.
Once again, I want to thank you for all you do.  You make it possible for us to help the animals here....we really, really appreciate it so much,
Hope you are all having a Feliz Semana Santa!
abrazos,

Francesa was found in Guatemala

I am happy to tell you that Francesa was found and she is  now back with her puppies!
We also had a mother cat brought to us yesterday with five kittens....two of them so weak they could  not lift their heads. We have them at the vet ...he thinks it is just from lack of food and maybe they will survive. The kittens are about 4 weeks old.   We have the mother and the three other kittens in a big cage and they seem to be doing o.k.
We had a man come from Guatemala city earlier this week who wanted to adopt a very young kitten....he said he would be happy to bottle feed it ...but we didn't have any.  Yesterday when these kittens arrived Jonathon called him.... ( Jonathon helps look after all the animals...he is Amelia's son... he is 18 yrs old.)  and to our great surprise , this man is coming all the way from Guatemala city by public bus today to pick up one of the kittens.   I think anyone who is willing to do that on a public holiday...when the buses will probably be very busy...will make a great kitten daddy!
